I am a student at Claremont in Practical Theology: Religious Education. I am fascinated with the intersection of Theology & Culture – or belief & practice.

The light of the past

should these two go together?

As a believer I try to follow the way of Jesus. It seems to be more challenging than I was told it would be when I started out.

It is  also more complicated than most I hear talking these days admit. Nothing is simple.

Things are complex. I am suspicious that maybe they are suppose to be that way.

I love the world that I have been born into. I am fascinated by the age that I exist in.

One of my deep convictions is that ministry (especially in a Christian community) will need to look very different in 50 years than it has for the past 50 years. The way that we trained people for ministry 100 years ago was … well … let’s just say that it will not be how we will train people 50 years from now.
